The Yorkshire Dales Heritage Directory has been prepared by the Yorkshire Dales Society on behalf of the Yorkshire Dales Heritage Forum, a partnership between several local organisations which aims to promote communication between those with an interest in the heritage of the Yorkshire Dales area and to increase awareness of a wide range of heritage projects.

The organisations listed within the Directory are statutory, voluntary and commercial in nature, the link between them being that they are actively concerned with the research, interpretation or promotion of any aspect of heritage within the greater Yorkshire Dales.
