Terms & Conditions

1. Public Users

1.1 Users of the website that do not belong to any of the member organisations will be known as ‘Public Users’.

1.2. Any Public User may access the Yorkshire Dales Heritage Directory and search the categories to find an organisation as required.

1.3. Once a Public User has located the relevant organisation, they will only have access to visit the website of that organisation.  Should an organisation not have a website, alternative contact details will be provided as agreed with the officers of that organisation.

1.4. Should a member of the public require a higher level of access to the Directory, i.e. they wish to see the full contact details of an organisation, they should contact the Directory Administrator, requesting a Username and Password for the website.  They should fully explain why they require further access to the information in the Directory.

1.5. The Administrator, in conjunction with the relevant officers in the Partner Organisations, will decide whether it is appropriate for a Username and Password to be provided following a request from a Public User.

1.6. The decision of the Administrator and the Partner Organisations will be final and no recourse will be considered.

2. Members of the Directory

2.1. All organisations whose details are listed in the Directory will be known as the ‘Members’ of the Directory.

2.4. The Directory accepts no responsibility for any of the Members’ details appearing incorrectly on the website or any resulting loss of contact from members of the public wishing to contact the Members.

2.5. It is the Members’ responsibility to ensure that their information in the Directory is up to date and to inform the administrator of the Directory of any changes that need to be made.

2.6. Any additions or changes to Members’ information will be made, where possible, within 5 working days of receiving the request from the Member.
